We believe in the metaphor of flight—tapping into consumers is not a line on a graph but a tangential process of driving to the fluid emotions that influence everyday decisions. For us this happens by seeing the problem from every angle, and by being able to discern the solutions that lay just ahead, anticipating the world before you arrive there.
We are a multi-disciplinary branding and advertising agency who, for 25 years, has seen the world—and our client’s brands—from this unique perspective. For us, it’s all about solving problems from this broadened, well-informed vantage point. Peter King Robbins CEO | Executive Creative Director
As founding partner, CEO and Executive Creative Director, Peter brings 40 years of experience in building award-winning creative for clients large and small. His broad background working in agencies from San Francisco, New York to Los Angeles has spanned the gamut from advertising, branding, packaging, entertainment marketing and corporate communications. A well-considered strategic approach derived from this extensive background is integral to Peter’s leading the way to deliver fresh, award-winning creative thinking. Beyond this Peter strives to make a difference in every project by tapping into the world which drives human experience and discussion, utilizing emotion to create advertising and branding that does more than look good: it connects with people. It is these practices and experience which have kept BIRD vibrant and thriving for two-and-a-half decades. Peter’s work has been published in the 100 Show, Graphis, Print, and AdAge and he has won numerous awards in both advertising and design and has been shown at the Cooper Hewitt/Smithsonian Design Museum in New York. His passion for creative endeavors is matched only by his passion for adventure in the great outdoors and all things two wheeled.
Tabitha De La Torre President
Joining as a partner 25 years ago, agency president Tabitha De La Torre brings vital experience from working in the high-intensity world of journalism—first in the detail-oriented sphere of editorial research and content, and later as marketing director for a group of three magazines. It was in this role of managing content, from photography, design, and copywriting, where Tabitha truly shined—and where she first met the up-and-coming art director Peter Robbins. It became clear that Tab’s talent for managing and envisioning great creative was well-aligned with Peter’s intellectually-grounded creative thought. Since then, Tab has consistently ensured clients’ branding and advertising needs are met with communication that’s on point—always keeping a keen eye on details and deadlines. It is precisely these skills, which helped turn an initial collaboration with Peter into an award-winning agency, which continues to not only thrive, but evolve. Tabitha’s other passions are centralized around her home and husband and watching their two children create their worlds—and businesses—surrounded by their love, music, soccer, illustration and fashion.
